I Will Never Leave
"We are not building God's kingdom, God is ... We are praying for the privilege of being involved." ~Francis Schaeffer ~
I Will Never Leave
You have come to me begging bread,
I have given you a banquet.
You have gathered crumbs under my table,
I have placed you in a seat of honor.
As the sun rises,
and the stars shine,
the waters will never cover you,
because I will never leave.
This poem is from a forthcoming novel called The Talking Stone: A Magically Real Fantasy, which I’m releasing this fall under the pen name Will Brooke. Few things can describe the range of emotions that come with writing and publishing a novel, especially a story like The Talking Stone. The beautiful thing is that, in all the ups and downs, I can say with certainty that the Lord is close. The same applies in any season, be it soaring or crawling. He is faithful. Jean-Pierre de Caussade says it so well: “God hides Himself in order to raise souls up to that perfect faith which will discover Him under every disguise.”
These are exciting times. I am planning on reaching out to some readers with a personal message to see if you can help me with an essential part of the release. Until next time - Blessings on you and yours!
Thanks so much for being an Everyday Amazed reader!
