Day 26 – Awaiting Angels
The lines have fallen to me in pleasant places ~ Psalm 16:6
A Battleground of Beauty
The day dawns, and a spectacular sunrise explodes across the horizon. After the fireworks, amid the growing expanse, the Lord beheld the connection between earth and heaven, how the borderline between darkness and light is a battleground of beauty.
The quiet prophet listened as the silent morning infused the air with an unsurpassed peace. Stars disappeared, and night sounds faded into the day's chirps, clicks, and scurries. Jesus waited with ears poised for every whisper on the wind, and the glorious music of nature improvised with songs of sheer delight.
The Father also waits and meets His son with something more precious than food and drink—His voice. Jesus knows that man does not live by bread alone but on every word spoken by the Father. The manna falls from mouth to ear, heart to heart, and His hunger for companionship is satisfied. Questions are answered, riddles are solved, and a slow, confident smile grows on the face of the God-man as He begins to understand.
Prophecy whispers about the future, but it shouts about the now, and the flag of God’s truth is planted in the soil of today. He has drawn our lines in pleasant places; we have all we need.
Thanks for reading Everyday Amazed and joining me on the journey through Lent.
