Awaiting Angels - Day 32
Reaching forward to what lies ahead, the upward call of Christ ~ Philippians 3:13
Metamorphosis
Embracing his desert journey, the God-man was transformed. He walked in the tension between what was and what would be, and the pushing-pulling forces almost tore Him apart. He dearly loved His people, including us, with all our quirks and imperfections, but He had planned something better. Yet, for people to reach that future, He knew they must move forward with courage. So, as an example, He grew through trials and suffering.
With each step on our journey, we change. Old becomes new as the refiner’s fire performs its metamorphosis. Looking back, we may see gravestones of shame and monuments of virtue—these columns stand as sentinels, warning against the poison of vanity.
The vision of an ocean of sand opened before Him in the vast expanse. The dunes ebbed and flowed in the wind, alive and moving, yet they crept in a course slower than His human eyes could follow. Are we too quick or too impatient to notice our glimpses of eternity?
Our cells labor as trillions of dazzling electrochemical pulses scintillate through our brains and nerves. We can’t see them, but we know they’re there. In awe and wonder, we press on, believing in faith what we fail to see.
The LORD sees you as you journey with Him and likes your company!
